18 Month Bible Reading Plan Month 3 Day 4 Leviticus 4 Hebrews 4

Leviticus 4 Observations

Leviticus 4:2 “If a soul shall sin through ignorance against any of the commandments of YAHUAH…”

Sin is plainly connected to the transgression of the commandments of YAHUAH. This is what John said in the New Testament (1 Jn. 3:4)

Leviticus 4:3 For the priests’ sins—young bullock

Leviticus 4:13 For the whole congregation of Israel’s sins—young bullock

Leviticus 4:22 For the sin of a ruler—kid of the goats

Leviticus 4:27 For the sin of individuals of Israel—kid of the goats

Leviticus 4:35 Lambs or goats could be given for the peace offering; but not vice versa with lambs for the sin offering.

Hebrews 4

Hebrews 4:1 “Let us therefore fear…” Translation: Let us have FOMO (Fear of Missing Out) on the promise and promises of YAH (see Matt. 10:28).

Hebrews 4:2 We have to keep in mind who the “them” and “they” are in this chapter and in the previous chapter. Historically, he is writing about the Children of Israel in the wilderness. Yes, we can glean from what is written here, but we today are not the author’s original subjects written about here.

Hebrews 4:2 So is the writer confirming that the gospel or Good News was preached in the Old Testament? How does the common gospel commonly preached today, compare to the definition of the gospel that the writer writes about here in Hebrews 4:2?

Hebrews 4:4-10 One simple way to be like our Creator, our Elohim—rest on the seventh day of the week just like He originally did in Genesis 2:2.

Hebrews 4:11 Seems contradictory, but it’s not. It’s no cake walk to walk while avoiding the broad way of Babylon (Matt. 7:13-14; 16:24; Mk. 8:34; Lk. 9:23).

Hebrews 4:12 A verse very much necessary to commit to memory and get deep down in the soul.

Hebrews 4:13 Reminds me of Psalm 94:9

Hebrews 4:14-15 YAHUSHA, our High Priest

Hebrews 4:15 & Leviticus 4:3-12 A great contrast between mortal priests and YAHUSHA, the eternal High Priest.

Hebrews 4:14 “hold fast” Grip firmly; tenaciously cling to.

Hebrews 4:16 We need the help of our Elohim to not have the same outcome as the “them” and “they” written about in this chapter and chapter three. Urgency of obedience and not complacency of Babylon should be our attitude.

Please, please comment below if you see ANYTHING that is contrary to Scripture that I have presented in these Scripture Observations. I want Truth and when I see that I have made a mistake, I want to correct that. No chips on my shoulders here.

I also ask one thing, though. Please, please present your thoughts in the context of two or three Scripture references, not just one (see Deuteronomy 17:6; Matthew 18:16; 2 Corinthians 13:1). One verse (especially one verse out of context) will not be received as evidence. I am just not one to interpret Scripture or accept other’s interpretation of Scripture apart from the written Word of YAH found in the whole counsel of His written Word.

I try my best to limit the use of the precursor words of “I think” or “I believe” without Scripture to back up my “I thinks” and “I believes.” Not only on this site, but be on the lookout anywhere else for excessive “I think” and “I believe” statements presented as Truth, with no Scriptural evidence to back up the statements.

The written Word of YAHUAH is the standard, the vanguard against deception which as you know is quite rampant these days.
