18 Month Bible Reading Plan Month 2 Day 16 Exodus 23 24 and Acts 11

Exodus 23 Observations

Exodus 23 :20 Amazing provision and promise. But YAH’s promise is conditional to YAH’s Word as we see in the next verses.

Exodus 23:20-23 Two jobs of YAH’s messenger:

  • YAH’s messengers keep his redeemed in the Way—Not just any way; Not our own way; Not in the way of unrighteousness. But to keep Israel, His redeemed, in YAH’s way—which is the way of Truth, which is the way that leads to life:

YAHUSHA saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.  John 14:6

Whenever YAH’s redeemed-by-the-blood-of-the-lamb veer off the way of YAH through our own volition, the messenger of YAH is not obligated to follow. He is not obligated at all to do so. According to verse 21, he is restrained from doing so.

  • The second job of YAH’s messenger is to bring His redeemed into the place that YAH has prepared. YAH has already prepared what His redeemed need. The only thing we need to do is to show up in obedience and in righteousness to receive and do the work of occupying.

And he called his ten servants, and delivered them ten pounds, and said unto them, Occupy till I come.  Luke 19:13

There were times when YAH told Moses to stand aside so that He could destroy the Children of Israel to start over with Moses. The Promised Land was prepared. YAH was going to have this prepared place occupied by people of His Will, whether they were the intended original recipients or not.

Exodus 24 Observations

Acts 11 Observations

Acts 11:9 “What Elohim has cleansed, that call not thou common.” This verse is sometimes used to say that unclean things (not even considered food in the eyes of YAHUAH) are suddenly clean. When Peter gives the interpretation of his own dream, nowhere in his explanation does he expound upon the cleansing of unclean things that are not be eaten.

There are no Bible verses or passages of Scripture that shows that YAHUAH changed His law about eating unclean animals. Since YAHUAH is the One who gave the original instructions about clean and unclean animals, only YAHUAH, Himself, has the authority to say that pigs, catfish, rats, dogs or any other unclean substances mislabeled as food can now be eaten now that Messiah has come the first time.

Yet, we know that YAH does not change. Therefore, we will not see where He, Himself, reverses His original instructions about what to eat and what not to eat. We must also understand that there is no one above YAHUAH. No man or woman can speak on His behalf to change His Laws. No one.

However, there are an abundance of Scriptures that foretold the “cleansing” (if you will) of the nations, the hitherto Gentiles. Through the promised Messiah, YAHUSHA, Gentiles (the unclean, defiled not having blood redemption) are cleansed, redeemed even as Israel (the metaphorically called clean).

The first foretelling of this really begins in the garden when YAHUAH Elohim said that the seed of the woman would bruise the head of the serpent. This proclamation was more clarified with Abraham.

YAH chose Abraham as the genetic line to bring forth the Messiah. In his discourse with Abraham in Genesis 13, He said that through Abraham (and by implication his seed) all the nations (the “unclean” ones) would be blessed. The Most High’s words to Eve were a proclamation of the future cleansing of the nations. Truly it is a blessing to be cleansed—washed in the redeeming blood of the Lamb. There are many other instances of YAH’s foretelling His cleansing of the nations through the mouth of His prophets such as Isaiah and Jeremiah to name two.

Acts 11:18 Repentance connected to life.

Disclaimer

Please, please comment below if you see ANYTHING that is contrary to Scripture that I have presented in these Scripture Observations. I want Truth and when I see that I have made a mistake, I want to correct that. No chips on my shoulders here.

I also ask one thing, though. Please, please present your thoughts in the context of two or three Scripture references, not just one (see Deuteronomy 17:6; Matthew 18:16; 2 Corinthians 13:1). One verse (especially one verse out of context) will not be received as evidence. I am just not one to interpret Scripture or accept other’s interpretation of Scripture apart from the written Word of YAH found in the whole counsel of His written Word.

I try my best to limit the use of the precursor words of “I think” or “I believe” without Scripture to back up my “I thinks” and “I believes.” Not only on this site, but be on the lookout anywhere else for excessive “I think” and “I believe” statements presented as Truth, with no Scriptural evidence to back up the statements.

The written Word of YAHUAH is the standard, the vanguard against deception which as you know is quite rampant these days.
