Genesis 39 Observations
Genesis 39:1-2 YAHUAH was with Joseph even in slavery. The word, “prosperous” was used to describe his state of being.
Genesis 39:3-6 Potipher blessed because of Joseph, a Hebrew.
39:3-6 Vexed by a vixen.
39:7-13 Joseph slandered by the vixen.
39:19-20 Joseph wrongly imprisoned again.
39:21-23 YAHUAH was with Joseph even in prison.
Genesis 40 Observations
Genesis 40:1-4 Joseph served even in prison even as before. He was imprisoned while serving his brothers (sold into slavery). He was imprisoned while serving Potipher. He could have recognized this pattern and determined in his mind that he was not going to serve anyone else. He could have focused on the past and the pattern that he saw of his being imprisoned while serving others. He could have shut down and said, “What’s the use of trying to serve? Looking back over my life, I have always suffered wrongful imprisonment while helping others.” But Joseph did not do this and was richly reward for his righteous attitude and actions.
Genesis 40:5-23 Joseph interprets the two dreams. His gift relating to dreams got him in trouble before. He was immature and premature in his gifting. But he didn’t abandon the gift and he continued to have a heart to serve.

Disclaimer
Also, please, please comment below if you see ANYTHING that is contrary to Scripture that I have presented in these Scripture Observations. I want Truth and when I see that I have made a mistake, I want to correct that. No chips on my shoulders here.
I also ask one thing, though. Please, please present your thoughts in the context of two or three Scripture references, not just one (see Deuteronomy 17:6; Matthew 18:16; 2 Corinthians 13:1). One verse (especially one verse out of context) will not be received as evidence. I am just not one to interpret Scripture or accept other’s interpretation of Scripture apart from the written Word of YAH found in the whole counsel of His written Word.
I try my best to limit the use of the precursor words of “I think” or “I believe” without Scripture to back up my “I thinks” and “I believes.” Not only on this site, but be on the lookout anywhere else for excessive “I think” and “I believe” statements presented as Truth, with no Scriptural evidence to back up the statements.
The written Word of YAHUAH is the standard, the vanguard against deception which as you know is quite rampant these days.
